Standard bridge. Spalted maple has darker colored streaks in shades of yellow, red, brown,
gray and black. Not all pieces of wood contain all these colors and no two pieces are ever
alike. Combined with the quilted figure in the wood, the spalt gives a stunning visual effect.
Some pieces of spalted maple are more expensive than the example shown here and some
require lots of extra care in sanding and finishing, so the price shown here is the base price
for spalted maple. All spalted maple violins are quoted individually based on the cost of the
actual piece of wood and any extra effort required in sanding and finishing. This violin is fitted
